Blue

 

I finally finished knitting the shawl for my mother in law, and I liked it so much I have cast on one for myself in blues (above). The green one for my M-I-L was in 3ply and took much longer to knit but it looked very pretty and delicate when it was done.

 

 

A vintage brooch and some diabetic chocolate to go with it

 

Also off the pins have been a baby cloak, sent to a new baby a few weeks ago.

 

 

 

 

And don't forget Oscar's birthday snake

 

 

Its not just my knitting which is blue though, I am feeling a bit blue (low), myself. I hope its a temporary blip, this stay at home Mama business is just so hard (lonely) sometimes.

St Valentines Day (catch up)

Well, for some reason I had it in my head that the 14th was Wednesday and Oscar's birthday was today Thursday, so when I realised on Monday that I was a day out and Valentines was actually the next day, I went into a panic. The only birthday thing not finished was Oscar's birthday cardigan (which only needs sewn up). We did not get as many Valentine crafts done as I had hoped, but the day was pleasant enough just the same.

♥ HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ♥

 

Three years ago today I was in labour with my beautiful son. Everyone had hoped for a Valentine's baby (in the delivery suite, not me particularly), but he hung on in until the next day. I can hardly believe my baby will be 3 tomorrow.
