Oscar has been drawing a lot and playing with Lego a lot




















We received our first arts and craft box from WOODLAND CHILDREN









We went to a friends birthday party and the children had a great time.

I made Jaffa Cake cupcakes

I finished painting the chalkboard wall - And Oscar loves it







I bought Macarons for the first time and I was totally NOT impressed

Oscar continues to dress up in half a dozen different outfits a day

I started a new painting (it's almost finished now)

And of course we had Aimee's baptism (see yesterdays post)

Today we plan on a trip to the beach, a lesson from the missionaries, some crochet (me) and some Scooby Doo watching (Oscar) and some drawing (both of us).

Degree Show 2013

On Thursday Oscar and I met up with my friend Laura and we went for a wee stroll around this years Degree show at our (mine, Laura's and my husbands) old art school.  There seemed to be a lot more sculptural and installation pieces in fine art this year, and I would have liked to have seen more painting. On the whole though, the standard was good and of the paintings there were, there was some really lovely pieces. Sadly, I don't have many photo's to show for it, because there were quite a few 'no photography' signs and also, the overhead lighting wasn't compatible with my camera phone.

I am not so sure about this one, I feel there is something lost in the quality compared to the others. Still, its all a learning curve.

My desire to paint is picking up momentum and it is fantastic, I hope to get a portrait of Oscar started this weekend, which is really exciting (for me at least lol).
